The Accidental Activist: Why I Couldn’t Stay Quiet

It started with a blindside.

In May, I was laid off. I was thrust into the most dehumanizing job market of my lifetime—an oversaturated landscape where “ghosting” is the standard and experience feels like a liability.

I am a copywriter and a marketer. I started my career as an OG mommy blogger. Writing isn’t just what I do; it is who I am. But after sending application after application into the void, I decided to stop waiting for permission to write. I decided to go all-in on content creation on my own terms.

The Plan vs. The Reality

The original plan was beautiful. I was going to focus on the things that bring me immense joy: living in Florida, the water, my plants, and documenting my “best life.” I wanted to step away from the ugliness of the world. I wanted to trade the fight for the sunshine.

But it turns out, you can’t tell your heart what to ignore.

I have been battling antisemitism on social media for years, usually quietly. But after October 7th, everything changed. I cleared my throat, took a deep breath, and got loud.

I tried (for a minute) to stick to the lifestyle content. But I realized I needed to stay in the space I had considered leaving. I went from quietly acknowledging, “Yes... I’m Jewish,” to standing tall as not only a proud Jew, but a fierce Zionist.

So, here I am. Quite accidentally, I have become an activist. I am using my career passion—writing—to battle the lies and hate directed at my people.

What You Can Expect

I am fighting the good fight the only way I know how: with deep research and clear words.

The Schedule: You can expect 2 to 3 full-length deep dives per day.

The Content: We will explore Jewish history, debunk modern myths, and look unflinchingly at the moments the world wants to forget—from the White Papers of 1939 to the realities of the Middle East today.

I may be living in Florida, surrounded by palm trees, but my pen is back in the trenches.

I write about Jewish history, diaspora, antisemitism, antizionism, and the extremist movements that feed off both, because the version that gets taught and the version that actually happened are rarely the same thing.
