"Palestine" is a Greek and Latin word Rome imposed to erase a people. The Jewish state is three thousand years in the making and documented. Here's what the recycled version leaves out.
The standard version of this story is clean and simple. The world pretended to feel guilty after the Holocaust, the UN voted, Britain handed over the keys, and Israel appeared out of nowhere in 1948. It also happens to be almost entirely wrong.
